Open in new tabMany #OpenAccess (C&I) consumers have recently received supplementary bills from #MSEDCL, leaving them wondering how these recoveries have been calculated.
To simplify the process, we have prepared an illustrative calculation based on a sample Open Access bill for the month of May. This example demonstrates how MSEDCL derives the actual chargeable units by successively adjusting:
* Power Factor (PF)
* Reverse Wheeling Loss
* Reverse Transmission Loss
These revised units then become the basis for recalculating wheeling and transmission charges, resulting in the supplementary recovery.
The injection units visible on your monthly electricity bill are not the final chargeable generation units. Reverse adjustments for kVAh generation, wheeling loss and transmission loss can significantly increase the units considered for billing, leading to additional recoveries.
โ ๏ธ Disclaimer: This is only an illustrative calculation prepared by Wudmin Energy using a sample Open Access bill for the month of May for educational purposes. Actual recoveries may vary depending on consumer specific billing data, applicable losses and prevailing regulations.
If you have received a #supplementarybill and would like to understand how it has been computed, feel free to reach out. Our team can help you decode the calculations and assess their impact.
