BESS Upskilling Program — Energy Storage Essentials
Transform Your BESS Expertise: From Fundamentals to Real-World Impact
The WE Upskilling Program equips professionals with a practical understanding of battery energy storage systems, from core cell technology to system integration and real-world deployment considerations.
The program blends technical fundamentals with business context, helping participants build the confidence to engage in storage strategy, project evaluation, and cross-functional decision-making.
Battery storage is moving from a technical niche to a strategic asset because it directly affects grid reliability, renewable integration and long-term cost management. As electricity systems become more complex, leaders need a clear view of how storage supports resilience, flexibility and value creation.
- Supports peak shaving and load shifting
- Improves renewable energy utilization
- Enhances resilience and backup capability
- Creates new revenue and optimization opportunities

Professional outcomes — the capability you'll build
- Understand Battery Energy Storage Systems from both technical and commercial perspectives.
- Interpret technology selection, system sizing and project configuration decisions.
- Contribute confidently to BESS implementation, renewable integration and project viability discussions.
- Apply industry relevant knowledge to project planning and decision-making.
- View energy storage through the lens of practitioners who work on real renewable energy projects.
Why This Program Is Different
Delivered by practitioners who advise on live BESS and renewable energy projects, the program pairs technical depth with commercial context built around real project experience rather than generic classroom theory.
Rather than simply learning what Battery Energy Storage Systems are, participants will understand how the industry approaches them.
